Your placement is based on the grade which we have received from your instructor. You do not need to take the placement test again.

Yes, as a rule all new applicants have to go through our internal placement procedure.

Depending on the information provided on the form, this will be either a communicative test or a cloze test. Both formats are digital and held on Dahlem campus. Please note that a brief interview may ensue.

Please try to make yourself available on one of the many dates of the placement test. Most of our courses are fully booked by the start of the semester, so we have very limited capacity for late admissions.

Our placement procedure is very reliable in identifying the right course level for you within our program. If you still feel wrongly placed after the first session, please tell your instructor and they will get in touch with us in week 1.
